Starting with the Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus are the first devices from Xiaomi with the screen resolution of 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels. The phone also features Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, 12-MP rear-facing cameras with phase-detection autofocus, aluminium+plastic bodies, and 5-Megapixel front-facing cameras.

It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 can capture videos with the resolution of 1080p, while the Redmi 5Plus can record 4K videos. Both the phones run on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with the MIUI9 UI, and have the storage expansion slots with microSD cards. The Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus are backed up with 3300mAh and 4000mAh batteries, respectively.

The price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be revealed officially in India on February 14 only. We expect it to be similar to the original price of Redmi Note 4, which was launched the last year. Going that way, the price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 could start from Rs. 10,000 and go as high as Rs. 11,999 for 32GB and 64GB variants.
