Acer announced four new Chromebooks with Android App

Acer has officially announced a set of four new Chromebooks in the market at company’s own “Next@Acer” keynote in New York. The new Acer Chromebooks look much like Google’s Pixelbooks and they deliver kind of the same features. The company has announced, Chromebook 15, Chromebook Spin 15, Chromebook 13, and Chromebook Spin 13 at a recent Keynote. 

The 13 Inch Chromebooks from Acer are more powerful than other 15 Inch Chromebooks in terms of their specifications. The 13 Inch Chromebooks come with 13.5-inch 2256 x 1504 IPS displays. They have 3:2 aspect ratio. The Spin edition with 13 Inch screen is a 2-in-1 convertible one which allows the users to flip the Keyboard cover. This will then act as a 13 Inch tablet. The Spin edition also supports Wacom stylus.

When it comes to power, both the editions come with different software configurations. You can either go with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 or Core i3 Processors. The regular Chromebook 13 will also come with Pentium and Celeron configurations as per your requirements.

Both editions come with up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM onboard you can choose the RAM size as per your requirement. The memory storage goes up to 128GB. The standard edition also comes in 32GB and 64GB of storage options.

The 13 Inch editions of Chromebooks are built just like Apple’s Macbook Air, with aluminium chassis. The body is quite durable and handle frequent falls easily.

Connectivity options such as USB Type-C available for transferring data between the devices just like a smartphone. Apart from this, the 13 Inch Chromebook has WiFi, Bluetooth v4.1 as well as Android App support. This Android app support allows the users to download and install different Android applications from the Play Store, just like an Android smartphone.

The company is offering full day battery life on both 13 Inch variants of their new Chromebooks. The Spin edition comes with touch support. It lets you use the laptop as you like with its convertible functionality.

On the other hand, the other two Chromebooks are of 15.6 Inch displays. They offer the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and these variants are powered by quad-core Intel Pentium N4200 processor. You can choose up to 8GB of LPDDR4 memory with Internal memory up to 64GB.

The 15 Inch variants offer 14 hours of battery life and they come with powerful ChromeOS support. There is a USB Type C port available for data transferring. The spin addition comes with 360-degree rotation option.

New Chromebooks Pricing & Availability 

The 13 Inch variants will be available later this month with pricing starts at $399, the other 15 Inch standard variant costs $349, while the Spin variant costs $449.
