Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet has been unveiled by Samsung as expected. This is a new 2016 edition of the Galaxy Tab A. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has been announced in Germany and other European countries. It is listed on the tech giant’s Netherlands website now. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) was revealed in March by the South Korean company with a 7-inch TFT display.
Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) will be available and will sport a price tag of EUR 289 which translates to roughly Rs. 22,000 and EUR 349 which is approximately Rs. 26,500. All the specifications of the both the variants are the same. There is however, only one difference between the Wi-Fi and LTE models of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) – the latter comes with SIM card and supports 4G LTE.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) sports a 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) TFT display. An octa-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6 GHz powers the Tab A coupled and is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage and microSD card which can further expand up to 200 GB. The biggest spotlight of the new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s skin on top. It flaunts an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and also packs f/1.9 aperture. There is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture also on board.
A 7300mAh battery backs the tablet and comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Glonass, GPS, Micro-USB connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2 options as well. The dimensions are 254.2×155.3×8.2mm and 525 grams of weight.
Currently, there is no information available whether the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) will be launching in markets outside Europe including India.
