Indian phone maker Smartron has launched its new brand t.phone P in India under a new price range priced at INR 7,999 and is exclusively available via online store Flipkart. Sales of this brand will begin on January 17 at 12 noon.
Smartron is also offering 1TB free cloud storage via its t.cloud service.
Coming to the specifications, let us start with the 1TB free cloud storage offering by Smartron via its t.cloud storage. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC with four processing cores at 1.4GHz and four cores at 1.1GHz which is coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone has a 13-MP camera sensor on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while a 5-MP, fixed-focus, f/2.2 aperture-equipped secondary camera sensor on the front with a low-light flash. The other features of the phone are Time Lapse Panorama, HDR, Beautify, and Burst mode alongside a selfie-centric Wide Selfie for the camera.

An internal storage of 32GB is given on the t.phone P which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card that comes in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. The phone is rich when it comes to connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB with OTG support. Sensors on board have ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. It also has a fingerprint sensor with which the users can answer the calls with just a tap on the back of the phone.
Besides, the handset has a powerful battery of 5000mAh that is touted to backup the phone for more than two days for a one time charge. The phone has also got a dash charging technology that takes only 90 minutes for a full day charge. The battery set up with this phone is also capable of supporting other devices like smartbands, Bluetooth, and smartphones.
As the t.phone P arrives, Smartron now has three different brands in the market under its smartphone portfolio which also includes the srt.phone and now t.phone. Smartron was started in March 2016, based in Hyderabad expanded its presence into the Middle-East market. The company has the funding of ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
