Honor 9 Lite India Launched with 4 Cameras; Price & Specifications

Chinese phone maker Huawei has come up with another mobile phone to increase its share in the subcontinent. Honor 9 Lite has launched today at New Delhi. As claimed by the company itself, Honor 9 Lite is an affordable quad-camera smartphone that has been teased for launch in the country earlier this month and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

Honor 9 Lite was first launched in China in December 2017, and this launch is the second major launch by Huawei in the country, following the launch of Honor View 10. Honor 9 Lite is priced at INR 10,999 and is available exclusively on Flipkart with booking open.

Honor 9 Lite Price & Specifications:

Though the official specifications are not yet revealed as the launch event is still going on as I write this, however, Flipkart’s listing of the devices indicates Honor 9 Lite’s 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant will not be launched in India. This means only the 3GB RAM/32GB Storage variant are expected to be made available as for now.

The dual-SIM (Nani) Honor 9 Lite runs on EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box. It bears a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ration and a pixel density of 428ppi. It is powered by a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC (four cores clocked at 2.36GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.7 GHz) coupled with either 3GB and 4GB of RAM.

Dual Camera was setup for Honor 9 on both front and back with 13-MP primary camera with a 2-MP secondary camera. The rear camera offers PDAF autofocus, apart from LED flash. The Honor 9 is being offered in two variants; 32GB and 64GB of inbuilt storage and both of them are expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

Price: The smartphone will be available on Flipkart.com from 21 January at Rs10,999 (3GB RAM+32GB storage) and Rs14,999 (4GB+64GB).

Coming to connectivity options, Honor 9 Lite include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB with OTG Support, and Bluetooth. The sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer (digital compass), and proximity sensor. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery that is expected to give a power backup of 20 hours on 3G, and a standby time of up to 24 days. It takes 2 hours and 20 minutes to charge completely. Display measurements of the phone are 151×71.9×7.6mm, and weighs 149 grams.
