With just a few hours away from the office even of Google Pixel 2 where the company is expected to launch the new Pixel smartphones, there seems to be no dearth of leaks around the Pixel. We have a new leak that claims to have spilled the beans on the innards of the bigger variant, the Pixel 2 XL.
Google Pixel 2 XL said to have a 6-inch P-OLED screen. Before this, the leaks have already suggested that the Pixel 2 XL is going to sport an 18:9 display and a new specifications sheet confirms this where the screen shows a resolution of 1440×2880 pixels for a 6-inch P-OLED display which can be expected to be made by none other than LG. The other specifications of the device are a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top of the screen for protection from scratches. The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
The list of specs that are released claims that the Pixel 2 XL is going to have 3 mics with noise cancellation. But the rear camera detail is not sure in the leak. There is an 8-megapixel front camera with a f/2.4 aperture. Under the hood of the camera, the Pixel 2 XL has listed with an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with a 4GB of LPDDR4X4 RAM and 64 GB of storage. The new Pixel phone is also said to come with Google feature in addition to the Oreo Android update. Dimensions listed in the leaks are 157.48×76.2×7.62mm alongside a weight of 175 grams.
The features that are expected to be highlight are Pixel Visual Core, which may be a new feature that is linked to the camera, advanced x-axis haptics sensor. There might also be a feature related to a gesture. There is an Adaptive Audio Amplifier feature which is being tipped by the newly leaked list.
So, considering the fact that we are merely a few hours away from the official release, we can expect to hear more on the new features when the Google executives take the stage to make an official statement.
