Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 4A with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 on March 20 at an event in New Delhi. The handset will have support for 4G VoLTE and also has an Infrared blaster. It will be available only on Amazon.in and Mi.com, and will not be available through offline stores.

Redmi Note 4A packs a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz and a 3120mAh battery to give you a smoother and uninterrupted performance throughout the day. It features a 5.0-inch LCD with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280, plus a pixel density of 294ppi.
Other specifications include 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB onboard storage, Hybrid SIM slot, micro SD card support upto 256GB. Optics-wise, the handset has a 13-megapixel shooter with a f/2.2 aperture on the rear, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with a f/2.2 aperture on the front.
Redmi Note 4A has support for 4G VoLTE, and it has an IR blaster which enables you to control AC’s, TV’s, and Set-top boxes. Color options include Gold, Rose Gold, and Dark Grey. It runs MIUI 8 which is based on Android Marshmallow, Xiaomi made some tweaks to Android Marshmallow to render user-friendly experience. However, you will miss the pure Android experience.
India is a second home to Xiaomi; the company claimed that it had raked 30 percent market share in India, in terms of online sales. Xiaomi has collaborated with Foxconn to set up a second manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh, India. Xiaomi has said that the factory will be able to produce one smartphone per second as soon as it opens.
